One of the things I love most about summer, besides lazy days on the beach and exploring new cities is the endless list of fruity delights you can eat and drink every day. And this recipe is a great example of a great drink, with great taste and refreshing powers.

kiwi, lime & mint smoothie

Ingredients:

» 3 cups sliced fresh ripe kiwi, peeled
» 1/2 cup ice cubes
» 1/4 cup orange juice
» juice from one lime
» 1 Tbsp. honey
» 2-3 Tbsp. fresh mint, chopped

kiwi, lime & mint smoothie

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Check for sweetness, add more honey if necessary.

    I would throw in some spinach for good measure 🙂 You can’t taste it when it’s mixed with sweet fruits and it adds a great nutritional punch! Kale too, but it has a stronger flavor in drinks.
