Last week I ate some gorgeous grilled pears and they reminded me of the perfect summer flavour of grilled peaches. I realized this year I didn’t really enjoy peaches, maybe I still have a chance. And while savouring the grilled pears, it struck me of how well they would go with some creamy goat cheese. I love pairing pears (lool) with blue cheese, but these ones had stronger flavour and a discrete hint of cinnamon and the lighter goat cheese would benefit from their taste. Then, yesterday, while browsing the always-inspiring Half Baked Harvest I saw the perfect summer cheese board, with pickled strawberries and, wait for it, grilled peaches. Plus some roasted cherry tomatoes, figs, cherries, honey, olives and crackers. But the best part about this is that you can add whatever you like in terms of fruits or cheese but don’t forget a grilled fruit assortment.
