I would love to spend my winter Saturday mornings in this kitchen savoring the smell of coffee and fresh baked blueberries muffins. The colors and the omnipresence of wood make it look so cozy and inviting… I imagine it has even a fireplace or an old fashion stove that radiates heat in the freezing winter cold.
However, since this kitchen is not available, I will settle for the tiramisu cake this weekend.
Tiramisú Cake by Linda Lomelino
8-10 slices
Sponge cake
3 eggs
2 1/2 dl sugar
1 dl milk
50 grams butter
3 dl all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
Coffee marsala syrup
1 dl strong coffee or espresso
1/2 dl marsala wine
1/2 dl sugar
Zabaglione with mascarpone
4 egg yolks
1/2 dl sugar
1 dl marsala wine
1 tup mascarpone cheese (250 g)
2 dl cream + 2 tbsp sugar
Garnish
Cocoa powder
Grated milk chocolate (about 100 gram)
