An atelier full of windows:
This is the home of Gisèle d’Ailly van Waterschoot van der Gracht, an artist who just turned 100 that grew up in a castle in Austria, lived in a Greek monastery, studied in Paris, provided shelter for the Jews during WWII in her canal house apartment in Amsterdem, where she still lives today. Here is a photo of the artist during the war – thanks to Francesca Rheannon.
