Chamotte series
I believe all things in life happen for a reason. And fate always chooses the best time to make things happen. Even if you want them to happen at a completely different moment, please understand that it knows best. I felt a little guilty that I did not write anything about my highschool classmate turned architect and furniture designer, Ruxandra Sacaliș. I loved her tri.foi chair and I stalked her on the internet to see what is she up to next. But I think it’s best I waited a little, because now I have more to write about and more pics to show you. Ruxi just won a special mention at the Salone Satellite Milano, for her Chamotte series, a set made of three containers and a fruit bowl, made of clay and chamotte. But that’s not it, I love the new Bring Us Together table, that completes the tri.foi series and my favorite pieces are the paper.light lamps. The traditional shapes are reinterpreted in a functional way, using natural materials and updated traditional techniques to create truly unique objects.
