Let us exit the summerish mood yesterday’s article made us enter, and think about the real fall wardrobe. Ulyana Sergeenko’s Fall 2014 Couture collection is the definition of opulent fall with leather trench coats, furs, velvet, mohair sweaters and heavy silk dresses. The styling and the model’s looks made me dream about Marlene Dietrich’s nude illusion dresses by Jean Louis, her extravagant furs, the Berlin Noir trilogy and the WWII period with all the restrictions and transformations of women’s wardrobes. I really loved the aggressive sensuality of this collection, that evokes the first decades of the last century, transposing them in a very actual form.
