I am one the greatest food lovers among the people I know. I do not love food because it appeases my hunger and satisfies an essential need. I love food even when I am satiated, I can talk endlessly about it and I am willing to try anything out of curiosity. I love to savor everything I eat and try to identify ways to make it better (I am my mother’s greatest critic when it comes to cooking, but my criticism is always constructive). And, in the last period, I might even organize my holidays and trips around the possibility of enjoying a perfectly cooked meal… For me a great restaurant can make a perfect Fairytale Destination. And this gem, the Plaza Athenée in Paris, with the menu designed by cooking genius Alain Ducasse and the interior remade by Agence Jouin Manku.
The new interior was based on organic shapes, to be in congruence with the new menu. “We have designed a space totally adjusted with Alain Ducasse’s naturalness cuisine and his concern for the perfection of the welcome,” said designers Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku. “First by highlighting the truth of materials… then in organizing the space so that the guests enjoy simultaneously an extraordinary and very intimate experience.”
