So a few weeks ago I was in Paris. Fell in love again with this magical city and tried to imagine what it would be like to live inside the walls of a Haussman building on a romantic narrow street in Le Marais. This series of photos “Vis-à-vis”, by Gail Alber Halaban show you an instant in the lives of people just across the street in Paris. You might think it’s a little creepy, but let me tell you that Gail actually met with the characters from these photos and obtained their permission to take their photograph. And the point of this series of photos is exactly that, to give your imagination a stir, to try to imagine a whole story about the life of those people from a single image inside their intimate space represented by their home.
