You will probably understand from the first moment why I fell in love with the Spring 2017 Lela Rose collection. The simple shapes, the soft colours, the lack of unneeded ornamentation, the minimalist styling, all are things that make me stop and stare. And it is not often that you will find the perfect balance between all these elements, but this time perfection has been achieved.
I do not remember if I ever told you the two most iconic wedding dresses that marked my childhood. I never dreamed about myself in a wedding dress, but these two really stuck in my head after seeing them. The first one was the simple and flowy Narciso Rodriguez dress Carolyn Bessette Kennedy wore to her wedding and the second one is the boat neckline and midi length dress of Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face. Both of them are simple, clean cut and look absolutely stunning. And with this I believe I fully explain my obsession with simple, minimalistic wedding dresses.
