I know that Fendi’s Fontana di Trevi defilée was the talk of last week, but I was more impressed with Valentino’s Shakespeare inspired couture collection. All those gorgeous medieval high collars, puffed sleeves and bodices would have made Elizabeth I really, really envious. You could have easily imagine yourself on the set of Romeo and Juliet or the Merchant of Venice, just by looking at all these gorgeous works of art issued from the hands of all those people that work in the Valentino ateliers.
