In an interview with The Cut that took place before the autumn 2018 collection, New York designer Vera Wang revealed the new trends in bridal dresses.
“This season we have prepared an almost hyper-conservative collection. I’m not the kind of bride dress like Grace Kelly, but it’s approaching that style. ”
It seems that traditional bridal gowns will appear in 2018. Already this trend is considered, Miranda Kerr wore a wedding dress inspired by Grace Kelly and created by Christian Dior at her wedding.
Wang also explained her drawings for the new season that features bridal gowns both front and back.
“As a former ballerina and skater, I always want to capture the body in motion. That’s what I want to convey through my drawings, most of the time the bridal gowns are seen from the back and not from the front,”said the designer.
