Trends in the wedding industry are like the tide. You can set your watch to when they will come into the limelight and drive everybody crazy and when they’ll go back out and give up the seat to another trend. That’s probably not what you want to hear when you’re planning perhaps the biggest day of your life. However, keeping this in mind could allow you to make some of the best decisions for your wedding. Sometimes we do things because they’re in season and we want to stay relevant. How we conduct our wedding day is no different because if you had or did something that looked like it was out of place, you would gather unwanted attention. The fear is of looking stale as if you didn’t really make it as perfect as you could. So in some sense, you should be trying to keep up with the times but not totally bow your head to them either. Here are some suggestions to think about.

Wood or metal?
Will your dining tables and wedding chairs be made out of metal or wood? It all boils down to these two materials really. Wood is great for a rustic wedding and something that’s more traditional such as the party being held in a church or mature establishment. Metal is more of a modern touch with iron being the slightly vintage option as stainless steel and even aluminum making a contemporary return. It’s not recommended to mix the two either as the aesthetic differences may not be too verging but certainly, the touch and feel are. It all looks a bit mish-mashed if you do blend the two. Copper is making a gallant return for weddings that are done out in the open such as fields and open halls. A trend you should give a second chance area mixture of wood and glass, and metal and glass seating and tables. The table itself can be made out of tempered glass and the chair cushion also made out of the strengthened glass.

The true centerpiece
They’ll be lots of entertainment and all kinds of memorable moments in your wedding but there’s one true centerpiece that matters. The ring itself will be a symbol of your love and an exacerbation of your style. It will be the defining item of the entire day so the style and design is easily the most important factor of your wedding apart from your vows. Like many fashion trends, some of the biggest names that light up in stars have an influence on our choices. Celebrity engagement trends suggest that there has come a shift in the way the ring is designed and looks. This change occurred namely from 2016 to 2017. You can see that the once unrivaled choice of oval cut of the diamond has now been surpassed by the pyramid emerald design. And rather than white gold, now good old yellow gold has made a return. Consider these options carefully when picking out your ring.
Now all trends are worth your time as despite a large following they simply won’t sit well with you. Even if you don’t care for the rising shifts in wedding culture, you can always take inspiration from them.
