Normally this home would not be anywhere close to style, not in a million years. Too much wood, too much brown, too much rustic elements.
But I discovered something: after a long day on the slope, after seeing a sea of white snow before your eyes for hours and hours, this kind of interior decor is actually all you need. The warmth of wood and natural colors is really calming and soothing.
After this year’s skiing holiday (we stayed in a charming little house where the owners would sit with us in the evening at a glass of schnapps), I realized that rustic elements, if selected with taste could look perfect, creating a very fairytale-like ambiance.
And this beautiful Saint Moritz home does exactly that: looks comfortable, warm and stylish in the same time. Probably because it was decorated and furnished by Studio Peregalli. 18th-century Venetian lantern in the hallway, 16th-century Italian painted ceiling in the living room/library, Engadine Valley kitchen’s table and chair and 17th-century Portuguese tiles meet modern design pieces to create this perfect mix.
I have to admit, my favourite room is the kitchen, it was actually a picture of it that drew my attention towards this home.
Do you like this kind of interiors?
