It may be a surprise, but the setting of the office meant four centuries ago a cloth placed over the writing table. The history of interior design marks the transition from a simple table to a dedicated piece of furniture and then to a whole room designed to serve the writing. If you are one of those who still prefer to write their emails in a comfortable chair rather than in bed, the following design ideas might be welcome.
Today, the rhythm of life is increasingly alert, and working from home is becoming an increasingly common practice. Whether it’s about freelancers, full-time employees or just routine activities (paying bills, planning a trip), setting up an office is a must. Creating a work area, sometimes temporary, in the space of a house or apartment is also useful for short activities. At the same time, the workspace may not be well delimited by the relaxation one, as in a large home where you find a room with the office function. In this case – and this is often the case in today’s apartments – the two spaces are integrated.
