While not everyone will want to trawl through your entire photography album when you return from your travels, the people who love you the most will probably be excited to see exactly what you’ve been up to. Unfortunately, in an age where many of us share our favorite travel shots on Instagram before we’re home, we don’t often get the chance to show off all of the photos we’ve taken of the beautiful places we’ve been. That can be disappointing for our loved ones, and it also takes a whole load of the fun out of our returns. Luckily, it is still possible to show off your snaps in a slightly more creative way if you put in a little time to do so.

For one thing, making your display as impactful as possible means holding off uploading on your Insta grid at least until you’re back home and sorted. It also means thinking outside of the box, and considering these creative ideas for adding some sparkle back into how you share your most striking travel photography.

Idea 1: Make a slideshow

There are few better ways to ease your passage home than to get your loved ones together for a fun night with a projector screen and your digital travel album. Luckily, this couldn’t be easier to achieve when you upload all of those snaps to your computer, though it’s worth noting that keeping all of your apps updated is essential for avoiding embarrassing mishaps when everyone’s waiting. Make sure to take care of this before you go away, and note that your laptop probably needs more space both for those updates and for the entirety of your travel albums in general. Still, take care of this, and you should be able to plugin, upload, and simply click the cycle button to give a slideshow worth remembering.

Idea 2: Put them in a photo book

Photo books are still a relatively new concept, but they make a great option for both savoring your travel photographs and showing them to the people who matter most. Whether you choose platforms like Shutterfly or Mixbook, ensuring a decent finished product should be as simple as choosing your photos and layout. Then, you’ll be able to present a professional-finish book for your friends to flick through at their leisure.

Idea 3: Make personalized gifts

Not everyone is going to want a personalized gift with photographs of your travels all over it, but for close friends and family members, this can be a great and unique way to capture your favorite pictures. Especially effective if you choose shots of stunning landscapes, or creative snaps of your explorations, options like a photo mug, or even a photo printed on a canvas can provide an effective way to give those people who matter the most their very own segment of your travels.

Getting creative with the ways you share your travel photography can be a lot of fun, especially if you think outside of the box with options like these to make the experience truly personal.
